Implementing Activities with G-FISH
A Leader with Associates (LWA) is a cooperative agreement mechanism that has a Leader Award through USAID/Washington as well as multiple Associate Awards managed through USAID Missions or Operating Units. The Global FISH Alliance LWA was created to enable USAID Missions and Operating Units to quickly implement activities and access expertise to support sustainable fishery and responsible aquaculture practices. The process for accessing the Global FISH Alliance is as follows:

• Contact the USAID G-FISH AOTR Barbara Best (bbest@usaid.gov) to discuss the proposed scope of the activity and request technical clearance (eligibility) under the Leader Award.
• Notify your procurement office.
• Send a program description to G-FISH Director Chanya Charles (ccharles@aed.org).
• Receive back from G-FISH a draft program narrative and budget for discussion.
• Negotiate an Associate Award cooperative agreement with G-FISH Managing Partner AED.
